Membership and leadership of FIN-NSW is shared by parents and family members of children in care and professionals (social workers, teachers, lawyers, health professional) and others.

Branches depend on pro-bono professional and unpaid parent labour.

The FIN-NSW membership fees are as follows:

Organisations - $50.00

Professionals - $25.00

Parents and family members (if employed) - $25.00

Parents and family members (on Centrelink payments) - $2.00
